Position Overview

 

As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at TLBC, you will be an integral part of our exceptional service delivery. Working closely with our team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), RBTs play a crucial role in providing a comprehensive range of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to individuals in need. Our RBTs have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and individuals by implementing intervention plans and supporting skill development.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Create a fun and enriching environment for TLBC clients to ensure they are happy, relaxed, and engaged during sessions.

  • Implement individualized intervention plans developed by BCBAs, following guidelines and protocols.

  • Provide direct one-on-one behavior support to individuals, assisting in skill-building and behavior management across various settings.

  • Collect accurate and detailed data on individual progress and behavior, ensuring data integrity and timely documentation.

  • Collaborate closely with BCBAs and interdisciplinary team members, actively participating in team meetings and discussions to ensure effective coordination of care.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans, under the guidance and supervision of BCBAs.

  • Maintain ongoing communication with BCBAs, reporting observations, progress, and challenges to ensure effective implementation of interventions.

  • Engage in continuous professional development and training opportunities, enhancing your knowledge and skills in the field of behavior analysis.

  • Foster a positive and supportive rapport with individuals, families, and team members, promoting a welcoming and inclusive environment.

  • Uphold ethical standards and professional guidelines set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in related field preferred).

  • Completion of Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training and certification or willingness to complete the certification process within the first 90 days of employment.

  • Passion for working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or other challenges.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, and the ability to build meaningful connections.

  • Strong observational and communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Reliable, punctual, and well-organized, with the ability to manage time effectively.

  • Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively within a team.

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on best practices in the field of behavior analysis.

  • Enthusiastic about TLBC’s mission and the success of its clients

  • Familiarity with or a desire to learn more about anti-ableist and child-led interventions

  • Ability to work afternoons (3:00-6:00pm) a minimum of 3 days per week

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
