Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based approach to understanding how children learn and using that understanding to support meaningful skill development.
At TLBC, ABA is individualized to each child and family. Our clinicians build learning opportunities into play, daily routines, and the things your child already enjoys, with goals focused on skills that make a meaningful difference in everyday life.
Depending on your child, that might include communication, play and social connection, independence, daily living skills, or participating more fully at home, at school, and in the community.

Learning through play
We believe children learn best when they’re engaged, connected, and having fun. Rather than separating learning from play, our clinicians build opportunities to practice new skills into the activities, toys, and routines your child already enjoys.

Our approach is individualized to each child. We follow their interests, build on their strengths, and create goals around the skills that are meaningful to them and their family. That might mean practicing communication during a favorite game, building independence through an everyday routine, or supporting social skills while playing together.

Families are an important part of the process, too. Our BCBAs work closely with parents and caregivers so that strategies are practical, collaborative, and can carry over into everyday life. As your child grows and their needs change, their goals and support change with them.

Getting started with ABA
If you’re interested in ABA services for your child, the first step is to complete our intake form. This gives us a little more information about your child, your family, and the support you’re looking for. ​
Once we receive your form, a member of our team will be in touch to talk through next steps and answer any questions you may have.
Using Insurance?
We work with many major insurance plans, including Medicaid, Kaiser, Aetna, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, UnitedHealthcare, Optum, and Cigna. Our team can help you understand coverage and next steps based on your plan.
