Position Overview

Clinical BCBAs are a critical component of our quality service delivery at TLBC. BCBAs work closely with the Regional Director to provide a range of ABA assessment and clinical services for children in their homes, in our ABA center, and in their schools. With a focus on personalized care, BCBAs are responsible for conducting thorough initial assessments, as well as ongoing assessments, to ensure individualized treatment plans are developed. Additionally, BCBAs provide valuable training to caregivers and assume the crucial role of supervising Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to guarantee the highest quality of care and support. By actively participating in these essential activities, BCBAs contribute significantly to the overall success and positive outcomes of our clients' journeys.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop individualized intervention plans.

  • Implement evidence-based interventions and strategies effectively.

  • Provide behavior analytic services and consultation to individuals, families, and educational and clinical teams.

  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and professionals to develop and promote consistent and effective behavior support plans.

  • Conduct functional behavior assessments and analyze data to evaluate progress and make necessary adjustments.

  • Design programs to support skill acquisition and behavior management for individuals

  • Stay current with the latest research, practices, and trends in behavior analysis and related fields.

  • Communicate and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care and integrated approach.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records, including progress notes and reports.

  • Uphold ethical standards and professional guidelines set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

  • Provide ongoing program oversight and frequent supervision of RBTs

  • Meets regularly with Director Team and notifies her/him immediately of issues impacting client’s progress and satisfaction

  • Documents work according to The Language and Behavior Center policy and state and federal regulation

Qualifications & Skills

  • Hold a current professional license in Maryland

  • Hold a current professional BCBA certification

  • Have a strong understanding of behavior-analytic principles and methodology

  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for offering guidance and support to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs)

  • Displays a proactive and self-motivated approach, excelling in working autonomously and taking initiative.

  • Exhibits innovative and resourceful problem-solving abilities, approaching challenges with creativity and adaptability.

  • Enthusiastic about TLBC’s mission and the success of its clients

  • Strong organization and interpersonal skills

  • Familiarity with or a desire to learn more about anti-ableist and child-led interventions

  • Experience collaborating with related service providers (e.g, SLPs, OTs, Mental Health counselors)

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check

  • Completion of CPR & First Aid training
